Hrvoje Dorotić holds a master of mechanical engineering from Zagreb University.

Career

Hrvoje Dorotić works as a project associate in the energy planning group of University of Zagreb’s Faculty of Mechanical Engineering and Naval Architecture. Here he deals with technical and legislative issues of renewable energy sources integration and energy system analysis. He is involved in several European and nationally funded projects dealing with district heating and power sector optimisation. His PhD thesis focuses on the development of a multi-objective optimisation method for evaluation of district heating systems with regards to individual solutions.

Statement:

Since University of Zagreb is the leader of training activities in the PLANHEAT project, I am involved in the organisation of training sessions for public authorities on how to use the tool. Furthermore, I am also providing the support to the City of Velika Gorica, which is one of the validation cities, in development of heating and cooling scenarios by using the PLANHEAT tool.
